Where: Carpinteria Womens Club, 1059 Vallecito Road, Carpinteria, 93013
What: A One-Day Visual Art and Art Therapy Workshop for families.
Who: Any families who lived through the Thomas Fire or 1/9 Mudslide. (Children must be accompanied by an adult and be 5 or older.)
Why: To make art, create a group sculpture and to heal.

Join us for a free one-day art therapy and visual art workshop and reception for families in Carpinteria and the community who are recovering from any of the afteraffects of the thomas fire or 1/9 Mudslide. Sponsored by the American Art Therapy Association, Carpinteria Women's Club and more. The one-day workshop will feature 6 hours of art-making, led by teams of local artists and trained post-trauma art therapists. Participants will receive free food and drink and leave with art they've made. The day will culminate in a reception that is open to the public from 4-5:30pm.
